ADMISSION PROCEDURE
All school places are allocated by Cornwall Council following their co-ordinated admissions scheme and following the Bishop Cornish Governors’ criteria for admission.
If you wish your child to attend Bishop Cornish School, details can be found here (including details of in-year admissions) www.cornwall.gov.uk/admissions.
Your child/ren DO NOT have to attend church or be baptised to attend Bishop Cornish School, however if you wish to, please complete the supplementary information form if you wish to apply using the faith admission criteria.
Is your child due to start school September 2027?
For children born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023. Applications open on 1st September 2026.
The closing date for applications is 15th January 2027.

Bishop Cornish accepts applications for ALL children. Your child/ren DO NOT have to attend church or be baptised to attend our school. All applications will be ranked in order of the oversubscription criteria found in the Admissions Policy. If you wish to apply using our faith criteria, please complete the supplementary information form.
We encourage prospective parents to visit our school, details of open days will be shared in September. If you are unable to attend any of the planned days, or if you are seeking to move your child within the academic year, please contact the school to book other days/times.
